An Italian classic with a Japanese twist. Today we’re making Udon Carbonara (Fusion Style) — a traditional Italian dish reimagined with Japanese udon noodles. Creamy, comforting, and ready in minutes.

🛒 INGREDIENTS (Serves 2):

  • 200 g udon noodles (1 pack)

  • 100 g @dorsognasmallgoods streaky bacon, diced

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 30 g Parmesan or pecorino, finely grated

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • Furikake, for topping

👩‍🍳 STEP-BY-STEP:

  1. Cook the udon according to the packet instructions, drain and set aside.

  2. Fry the bacon until crispy, add garlic and sauté briefly.

  3. Whisk egg yolks, cheese, and black pepper in a bowl.

  4. Toss the hot udon in the bacon pan, remove from heat, and stir in the egg mixture until creamy.

  5. Add a splash of pasta water if it gets too thick.

  6. Finish with extra cheese, freshly cracked pepper, and a sprinkle of furikake.

Two cultures, one delicious plate. Save it for later or send it to the person who should cook it for you.
