Cacciatora Puff Pastry Wreath

Have you ever seen a wreath like this? Cacciatora Puff Pastry Wreath

Perfect to impress your guests at an antipasto table…




🛒 INGREDIENTS:


  • 2 square sheets puff pastry, thawed

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

  • Grated cheese (mozzarella, tasty or provolone)

  • @dorsognasmallgoods cacciatora salami (mild or spicy – both work!)

  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped

  • Green olives, sliced or chopped

  • Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

  • Cracked black pepper



👩‍🍳 STEP-BY-STEP:


  1. Join pastry sheets to make a long rectangle. Seal the join.

  2. Cut halfway through one long edge into strips – these become the twist.

  3. Gently twist each strip and set aside.

  4. Brush the flat side with egg wash.

  5. Add cheese, cacciatora salami, egg and olives.

  6. Season with pepper and herbs.

  7. Roll from the filled side toward the twisted edge.

  8. Fold the strips over the log.

  9. Shape into a wreath and seal the ends.

  10. Brush the whole thing with egg wash.

  11. Bake at 200°C fan for 25–30 mins until puffed and golden.

  12. Cool slightly, slice and serve!
