Chicken Gnocchi with Ham & Coppa

Ever imagined gnocchi made without potatoes? Let’s make it now! This version swaps potato for chicken breast and hides a smoky, cheesy surprise inside. A lighter, protein-packed twist on a beloved classic.




🛒 INGREDIENTS:


For the dough:

  • 1 chicken breast

  • 1 handful grated cheese

  • 1 tbsp corn starch

  • Salt, pepper & spices


For the filling:

  • 100 g @dorsognasmallgoods premium shredded ham

  • 1 cup ricotta

  • 1 egg

  • 100 g tasty cheese

  • Salt & pepper



For the sauce:



👩‍🍳 STEP-BY-STEP:


  1. Blend chicken breast, grated cheese, corn starch, egg, and spices until smooth. Chill to firm up.


  2. Mix the filling: blend ham, ricotta, egg, tasty cheese, salt, and pepper into a creamy paste. Transfer to a piping bag.


  3. Flatten small portions of dough, pipe in filling, and seal into gnocchi.


  4. Boil in salted water for 7 mins or until they float.


  5. Crisp up Coppa in a pan, add cream, season, then lightly pan-fry the gnocchi before tossing in the sauce.


  6. Serve hot and don’t forget the Argentine tradition… slip some cash under your plate for good fortune.
