Bacon Brownie

Sweet, smoky, a little spicy and perfectly fudgy in the middle. It sounds unexpected, but this sweet & salty combo works.




šŸ›’ INGREDIENTS (Serves 6 to 8):

  • For the brownies:

  • 1 gluten-free brownie premix

  • Eggs + oil or butter as per packet instructions

  • 1 pack @dorsognasmallgoods Hot Honey Bacon

  • ½ cup chocolate chips

  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)


For the sweet spicy finish:

  • Reserved bacon pan juices


šŸ‘©ā€šŸ³ STEP BY STEP:

  1. Cook the Hot Honey Bacon in a pan until crispy, then chop into small pieces and set aside while reserving the pan juices.

  2. Prepare the gluten-free brownie mix according to the packet instructions.

  3. Fold the chopped bacon and chocolate chips through the brownie batter until evenly combined.

  4. Pour the mixture into a lined baking tray and sprinkle extra bacon pieces over the top.

  5. Bake according to the brownie packet instructions until the centre is fudgy and the edges are set.

  6. Remove from the oven and spoon a little of the reserved bacon pan juices over the top for that glossy sweet spicy finish.


This easy recipe is proof that sometimes the best desserts come from the most unexpected flavour combinations.
