Sandwich de milanesa!

Ever had a schnitzel in a sandwich? This is a Milanesa Sandwich — a kind of schnitzel inspired by the 🇮🇹 Italian cotoletta alla milanese, reimagined in Tucumán, Argentina — big, bold, and gloriously messy.

🛒 INGREDIENTS (Serves 2 hungry legends):

  • Thin beef steaks

  • 2 eggs, 2 garlic cloves, chopped parsley, 1 tsp mustard

  • Day-old bread (for homemade breadcrumbs)

  • @dorsognasmallgoods triple smoked ham

  • Your fave melty cheese

  • 2 eggs (for frying)

  • Lettuce & tomato slices

  • Mayonnaise & mustard

  • Olive oil, chilli flakes, smoked & sweet paprika (for spicy sauce)

  • Oil for frying

  • Large bread rolls

👨‍🍳 STEP-BY-STEP:

  1. Blitz your day-old bread for fresh breadcrumbs.

  2. Beat eggs with garlic, parsley, mustard, salt & pepper.

  3. Pound steaks thin, soak in egg mix, crumb well.

  4. Fry till golden and crunchy.

  5. In a pan, sizzle ham, cheese & crack an egg on top — let it all melt into a glorious mess.

  6. Make chilli oil: heat olive oil and stir in chilli flakes, smoked & sweet paprika.

  7. Stack it up: mayo, mustard, spicy oil, 6 crispy schnitzels, lettuce, tomato, and that cheesy ham-egg bomb.

Not just a sandwich — this is Tucumán pride on a plate.
