Philly Cheesesteak

One of the most iconic sandwiches in the world… the Philly cheesesteak. Easy recipe, juicy, cheesy and ready in minutes.
For this quick meal idea, we made an express version using tender roast beef, so it comes together fast while still delivering that classic cheesesteak flavour. The cheese melts straight into the beef and veggies, and the result is seriously satisfying.

🛒 INGREDIENTS (Serves 2):
1 crusty baguette
200 g @dorsognasmallgoods Roast Beef slices
4 cheddar cheese slices
1 onion, chopped
1 red capsicum, chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
👩🍳 STEP BY STEP:
Cook the veggies: Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion and capsicum until soft, golden and slightly crispy. Season with salt and pepper.
Prepare the beef: Stack the roast beef slices with the cheddar cheese slices and chop into small cubes. This helps the cheese melt evenly into the mix.
Bring it together: Add the beef and cheese mixture to the pan with the veggies. Cook for a couple of minutes until the cheese melts, and everything combines into a rich, cheesy filling.
Build the sandwich: Slice open the crusty baguette, load it with the hot cheesesteak filling and serve immediately.
